Amish Broccoli divine-ness

By the way, I found a recipe I think is tastier, simpler, and more balanced than Amish Broccoli

2 10 oz packages broccoli florets *or more to taste
4 oz velveeta cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups crushed croutons *I like the cheese garlic croutons best
5 Tb melted butter

cook & drain broccoli
heat cheese and soup (yay microwave!)
mix broccoli and salt with cheese & soup
place in greased 3 qt. casserole dish (yay Pam!)
separately mix croûtons and butter
drop crumbly croûton yummness evenly on top of casserole
bake at 350 degrees F for 20 min

I like serving this with shell noodles that have oil & garlic salt mixed into it.

If you like meat: adding a few cups of cubed pre-cooked chicken to the recipe before baking it is good.
